Summer is now a finished champion and we are so excited for her! She is also the dam of our beautiful Argonne's Caldera who shows TONS of promise.

Oh Summer.. Where to start! Summer was born here at Argonne's Dairy Goats, but once she was weaned we sold her to a petting zoo. Shortly after we sold her, her dam, 1*M Argonne's Summer Solstice passed very unexpectedly. Knowing her dam was the last of that line I knew I had to contact the individual who bought her to see if I could purchase her back. Thankfully, they agreed and gave her back! I am forever grateful for that because Summer has turned out so much better then I could have imagined. Summer is my "random" goat. Her immediate relatives are unknown, with practically no records (specifically on her sires side). However, I know those goats and knew that even though they didn't have records didn't mean they didn't have anything to offer. Summers sire has four daughters, and out of those four, two who have been appraised and both appraised VG89 (VVEE) As 1) a 2 year old 1st freshener and 2) a 2nd freshener. Not too shabby if you ask us!

Back to Summer... She has been the ULTIMATE bridesmaid! RGCH after the other. She only needs one more leg! Poor girl, maybe this coming 2019 show season! Summer has easily one of my favorite mammary systems in my herd. The height and width of rear udder, the extension of fore udder, her capacity.. I can go on. Not only does she have a lovely mammary system, but tremendous general appearance. great set of feet and legs, straight back, wide, long, level rump... I can go on and on. Summer might not be the biggest doe in the herd, but she definitely can hold her own. Unfortunately she is the most unphotogenic goat EVER. I can't get one good picture of her. I'll try again next year, haha!
